Pokémon

Poké-Hobbit

That is a terrible title. Maybe it should be Hobbit: An Unexpected Pokémon Journey. But that is really annoing to say.

Anyway, as usual when I'm getting into a new fandom I started assigning pokémon teams to all the characters and forced my poor twitter feed to guess them all. They were apparently very hard to guess, but that's because my reasoning behind all the teams might not have been obvious just by looking at them...

Okay, that's it I think! I have as usual spent too much time thinking about all this, but... sorry I'm not sorry.

Oscar catch-up

Well, it's the time of the year again where I watch a shit-ton of movies so that I can have actual opinions on the Oscars. Good for me. And, of course, I need to write those opinions down somewhere. So, here are my thoughts on the nominees this year!

Anyway, that's it I think. I'm skipping movies nominated in minor categories, and I'll just post my predictions later this week. Because I know you all really care. ;)

Coffee

Bright-sided by Barbara Ehrenreich

The full title is "Bright-sided: How the Relentless Promotion of Positive Thinking Has Undermined America", and in the UK it's apparently known as "Smile Or Die: How Positive Thinking Fooled America and the World", which I honestly believe is a much better title. In Swedish, the sub-title is more along the lines of "How every got fucked up with positive thinking" ("Hur allt gick åt helvete med positivt tänkande").

Seriously?

Iron Sky

So, this is the third time I've been to the movies in five days.

Hell, I should get credit for not seeing Avengers again. Although, turns out I know a lot of people that have yet to see it, so I'll probably find a way to see it again. But maybe not until next week...

Pokévengers

In case you've missed it, I like to assign pokémon teams to characters from other fandoms. Usually I put teams together as pictures, and then I have people on Twitter guess which character they belong to, and then I write up explanations here on LJ... so that's what I'm doing now.

I give you: Pokévengers!
